Choke light

My choke light in my dash just came on and started flickering on and off and now it stays on... I don't have the stock choke wire hooked up I have it cut off and taped up nice and neat. I pulled the 20 amp choke fuse but it stayed on Going to drive me nuts. Any suggestions???

I honestly thought about that. I'm changing the gauges in the next week or so but I wanted to make sure there wasn't going to be any major problems with doing so.

Re: Choke light

I dont know what year it started, but the Choke light acted as a Check engine light on some models. On my 85 blazer the Choke light started to flicker doing 65, next thing I know I hear a pop and a squeak. it was telling me the oil pressure was gone (broke the cam in 3 places).

Check your oil pressure before you just pull the bulb and assume everythings alright.
