Billetproof car show in Gainesville, FL. Saturday

Kinda last minute, but I'm headed to Gainesville in the morning. This is my first time making the Billetproof show. A buddy of mine went last year and has not stopped talking about it all year. Another buddy of mine works down there, and has aready called me and said he seen over 15 old chevy trucks cruising around today. So it sounds like a good time. Over 650 rides last year. I'm not entering my truck, but I am driving it down. Hope to see more chevy's.

I've been going to the Billetproof in Chehalis, WA. This will be my third year attending and entering my truck. I love this show! It is by far what I look forward to most of the year.

Re: Billetproof car show in Gainesville, FL. Saturday

pretty good show, Smaller then I had hoped.. But it was freezing cold and rain the first half of the day. A lot of those guy with the rat rods dont have window glass, full floor boards, or even roofs. And a lot of those guys showed up. Hats off to all those guys. Some very cool rides there. I was a little let down with the Chevy trucks. The ones that where there were nice. But only a hand full of Chevy's. But oddly enough to me, there were tons of Ford trucks. Got a few cool idea's for mine. Also let down with the swap meet. But never the less, I will be returning next year. I like that kind of show a lot. Some place I could drive my truck into and not get attitude over my crappy paint. I have tons of work into my truck, and it's cool to be around others like me.

I take it you got your driveshaft problem solved. Daytona (springtime version of the Turkey Run) is coming up in March

Re: Billetproof car show in Gainesville, FL. Saturday

oh yeah, the drive shaft problem. It got kinda fixed. The carrier bearing bracket broke again two weeks after I got it welded. It left me stuck on the side of the road, so I made my own support bracket on the road side. A metal strap, 2 bolts, drilled into the trailing arm brackets with my cordless drill. Been driving ever since. I know this was only a temp fix, but it has held up fine. Even made it to Gainesville to problem. I know the problem still exist, cause I can feel it vibrating pretty good at speed. After I change out the rear end and do some rear cross member alterations. I will address that problem again.
