LMC gas tanks
Im getting ready to put in a new behind the seat tank, Ive looked at LMC and Brothers. LMC are about $40 cheaper and I was wondering if anyone has used them and if they are a good tank and a direct replacement so I dont have to re-route my fuel lines (again),thanks

Re: LMC gas tanks
I bought one and sent it back because the bolt holes did not line up. I was being anal and did not want to drill the new holes to make it fit. On second thought I should have just corrected the problem myself. Other than the bolt holes not lining up it seemed to be decent quality.

Re: LMC gas tanks
I have seen some of LMC's tank necks not fit the hole in the cab right. The neck is too tight to the top of the hole in the cab, so the grommet will not seal. WES

Re: LMC gas tanks
I just put one from LMC in my 71 and it was a direct replacement. The only place that needed to be "modified" was the lower flange of the tank, it needed to be reangled. I also have a real strong gas smell inside of the cab now, It might be coming from the sending unit o ring. But all in all I am pretty happy with it

Re: LMC gas tanks
I recently replaced my tank with one from LMC in my 71 and just like Crapy67 it was a direct replacement with the same lower flange problem. With a little re-angle it worked out fine. No gas smell from mine.
