COE Hood hinges on a non-COE truck

Anyone done this? I was just thinking that I love the look of the smooth street rod thing but I also love the finer details that often show on these older trucks done more in the period style. While browsing the CEO thread that is always floating to the top I noticed that the hood hinges are totally awesome... I'd like to use some on my 53 1/2 panel.

Thoughts?

I'm sure I'd have to beef up the structure under the hood since there isn't any but is there more "beef" under the cowl on the COE's too? I found some pics of the underside of a COE hood... any of the underside of the cowl on one of those buggers?

I think you would have trouble with the corners hitting the fenders.
