my official 78 swb build thread from from wrecked to now

when i first got it delivered while i was in basic ....it was there at my sisters for 4 months while i busted my ass training at ft knox-then ft jackson ....i never saw it when i bought it lol i waited so long to see it and bought stuff on ebay for it inbetween getting yelled at

after i got home i removed the defunkt front clip then i gatehred parts for lowering ...keep in mind i got several civics im building so i work on it when i can but now its my daily after slam it looks better i got to work on the little issue of keeping it straight under hard excelleration lol an older guy build the motor and tranny it hauls arse .....it burys the needle well into the zero ...at low rpms not sure what the rear ratio is...i am looking for a 454 to build ...my plans are cal tracs 454 this blower i have laing around but after building my civic and seeing what turbos do i think i may go that route .....

here is an inbetween picture i got rid of the clear lights and got black carpet and interior dash is new i am going to pick up black seat belts and door panels at the wrecking yard i found an ex show truck i been getting new parts off of....well whats left of it

Wow, looks like a nice truck man. (Minus the smash. ) A forced induction 454 would be nuts in there. I look forward to the continuation of this build. Thank you for your service in the US ARMY (based on Ft Knox & Relaxin Jackson). Keep at it man.

Yeah it is bad weather here too. my fathers truck is the garage hog so I can't ever do anything in there...My truck just gets surface rust as it rains lol.

well i think this is getting traded for an 87 suburban with a 10 inch all spring lift with 38.5s
