stock wheel size

Good evening truckers.
anyone know the stock steel wheel size for a 65 C10? (dia x width)
(I'm looking at a decent 65 short-wide, has some aftermarket wheels on it now, I want to go back to stock steelies)
anyone know anyplace that sells them?
(i could only find something close at stockton wheel and wheelsmith - but they don't have the openings between the center section and the rim, they're completely solid - I'd prefer actuall oem stock wheels if I could find em. Will scour the junkyards, but wondering if anyone makes them new/refurb)

also, are the stock steel wheels set up for a 10.5" dog dish hubcap or 12"?

considering a cpp front disc brake setup, a little concerned about caliper interference, but could add a spacer I suppose.

thanks,
jocko

You could get 15", 16" and 17.5" tubeless rims in those days. I'm modifying 17.5"s to a 17" rim for my 4WD. this summer.

Re: stock wheel size

if my memory serves me correct without looking in the gm spec book they are 15 x 5.5.factory tire on the 1965 trucks was 670 x 15.these tires and factory rims are very skinny.i think they drive and handle better with the factory rims and tires, but that is just my opinion, don't look as appealing as aftermarket wheels and tires though.

thanks - i checked summit out but could only find rallies, i.e. with the slots - I'm looking more for the original plain old steel 6 lug wheels to put the original dog dish caps on. But thanks - i may get rallies eventually, and they have a great selection. Much appreciatred.

however, since i want the factory steelies and eventually want to add disc brakes up front, I might be better off going with a 15x6 or 15x7 even - for a little extra clearance...

Re: stock wheel size

15" dia. x 5.50" wide was standard and 15" dia. x 5.0" wide or 15" dia. x 5.25" wide were optional. 16" dia. & 17.5" dia. was also available on the 1/2 ton 2wd trucks, per the 1965 Silver Book.

Re: stock wheel size

I had no idea you could get 16 and 17.5 - blackedoutharley said the same thing - learn something new every day. I like the 15's , but do want to add disc brakes eventually. When most aftermarket disc mfgrs say it might not fit stock wheels - is it the diameter or the width that is the interference problem? anyone know? I could go with 16 dia or 6-7 in width depending on what the interference is and still look pretty stock. bigges challenge is finding the bone stock 15s in the first place - except for the great tip that factorystock gave me about ebay (I'm "watching" that item for now). Anyway - thanks again, you've all been very helpful - interested if anyone knows if the dia or width is the usual interference with disc brake conversions - jocko
