I guess the hood ornament just stands out so much because it's an aerial shot. But, I really like the wheels.

I think what jumps off the page most for me (besides the hood ornament and bed rails) is how much the stainless windshield trim makes the color scheme pop. It just looks dark in the original picture but that bright windshield trim makes the paint look vibrant after the other zillion dollars were spent on everything else!

Also glad to see you back active on the site.

aerotruk do you have a shot of the grill guard on your truck? Did you do that yourself or is that another rare dealer option??? I like the retro look you gave your truck.

I had it chromed, did not install the reinforcement bars, you have to drill through the grill and grille support to attach to the frame. NOS grille, ain't gonna happen.

WHOA... its is beautiful both ways. I have always liked the rat rod thing even before the recent craze for it but man you did a hellofa job on all the work.. I dont think I could choose between the two looks.

if you had asked me back in '86 (i was 4), i woulda said leave the patina, lol...it did have a nice patina, but for yours i like the nice shiny paint & accessories
