Driveshaft Tunnel Pics
I'm getting ready to cut for the driveshaft and would like some ideas. Please post some pictures of how you have your Blazer done. Thanks in advance.

Re: Driveshaft Tunnel Pics
i cut down a 2-piece driveshaft in mine to keep from cutiing into the tunnel and bracing. Rear driveshaft was only like 17" if i remember right and i didnt even have to balance it after i cut both peices down so much. never shook unless i was tryna do 90+ which was very rare wth a frame 4" from the ground. sorry no pics, truck is long gone, those were my hgh shcool days

Re: Driveshaft Tunnel Pics
Nice work!
I've heard (maybe on this board) that partially boxed rails create stress points where the box ends that can cause cracking. Is this true? It probably doesn't matter too much on a street truck but I'm just curious. |

Re: Driveshaft Tunnel Pics
Might weld in some radius pieces. Any time you have a sharp point in something structural, that point is where a break will occur if it happens. just make the transistion round somehow.

I have never heard of this. I have never had something crack "yet" (knock on wood). I think as long as it is prepared right and you have good penetration it should be o.k.
