OEM fenders?
Are there any place to get OEM fenders? Need to replace the driver side front fender and would like to go with an original fender.
Thanks. |

Do you travel at all? Pick and pulls up here want $ 40 - $ 50 per.

Re: OEM fenders?
I gave up looking for decent OEM fenders. Found a few on CL but folks wanted darn near NOS prices.
Ended up buying import fenders, inners, doors, and a hood. The fit wasn't too bad, actually they fit a lot like early 70's GM parts. LOL

Re: OEM fenders?
Depends on what year fender you are looking for . 73-80 fenders are a little higher priced than the 81-87 fenders. I imagine the later style is still easy to find .

Re: OEM fenders?
Looking for an 81-87. I've seen some aftermarket fenders, and man they are cheaply made. May try to repair the one I have until I find an original replacement.
I have more time than money,so tinkering with the one I have might make sense. |

Re: OEM fenders?
The 81 up fenders can usually be found in good condition from suburbans....they made them up to 1991 and they usually were treated better than the trucks. As a bonus the 89-91s had the new style nose ...always easy to sell if you pick one up for parts. Most of the subs came fully optioned so you may get a set of factory aluminum wheels ,bucket seats , a woodgrain dash.....and even power mirrors.

Re: OEM fenders?
Keep checking Craigslist i see them all the time here in Alabama. Why just a month ago I scored a pair of NOS fenders on CL $300. Guy had em in his garage for about 15 years.

Re: OEM fenders?
I got a hood and passed on the fenders from a scrap metal yard. I only gave 25.00 for the hood in better shape than my old one. I think I should have snagged more than I did seing how hard to come by they are and stuff is not getting cheeper.
