81 swb i just picked up
I just picked this thing up for 500 bucks off craigs list. Had to drive 2 and a half hours to get it but i think it was worth it. It is an 81 short wide that has absolutely no rust and never appears to have had. It is plum crazy purple with a black stripe wraping around the back which i dont really care for, but it came with a toneau cover, 373 10bolt posi, turbo 400 with a stage two shift kit, and a 406 short block with keith black rotating assembly. The interior is marroon and has white faced guages and new carpet. Dont know what im going to do with it yet but was pretty stoked to get it.

Re: 81 swb i just picked up
start by throwin some primer on there lol but that drivetrain is easily worth triple what you paid.

Re: 81 swb i just picked up
Funny thing is the guy could have probably gotten 4 or 5 times that price if he had spent a little on some rattle can primer.

Great Find > he obviousy did not know what he had . This is one thing about these trucks that amaze me > you can still find crazy deals like that --lower it - hook it up so to speak - without spending a fortune & still have a head turning machine --take a picture after you have finished with it --show the person you bought it from & he would probably throw up at what he sold it to you for . Have fun
