New From Boise
Hi All-
I've been lurking for a while, finally decided to join. I've gathered a ton of useful information from a lot of different threads and users. Thank You. I own a '70 K5 Blazer CST, olive green in color. It was/is my first vehicle. My Dad gave it to me in '87, he bought it in '79. I have many memories of it when I was young, and hope to pass the experience on to my kids. I remember the 8 track going up in smoke while Mel Tillis was playing. Very fond memories. I'm in the process of getting it back up to snuff after not driving it for 6-7 years. My wife and I moved to Boise 4 years ago from Northern Arizona and left it there for safe keeping. We brought it up in October and I've since started working on it. It is in great shape and almost completely rust free. Body is straight. It is almost 100% complete, except for a few parts I wish I still had. I'll post pics when I figure out how, never can get it right. |

Welcome from SoCal!
What part of Boise? I have family there, and other parts of ID.

Re: New From Boise
Welcome!, Born in Boise, lived there until I was 15, then moved to Portland OR. Boy sure miss the place. Back then (early 70's) you only had to be 14 to get a license. My first vehicle was a '63 Fleetside with a 283 automatic, that's why I just purchased a '62 that I'm currently restoring. Used to cruise downtown Boise... back then Cruising was really BIG, packed bumper to bumper most of the night, Miss those days!! Anyway welcome to the forum and keep us update with the restoration :-)
