'55 cameo on C/L
I came across this 1955 Cameo (not mine) I just thought I'd share.

Re: '55 cameo on C/L
$13,000 seems like alot in that condition.
I guess he's been watching too much Barrett-Jackson. |

Re: '55 cameo on C/L
I wonder if it is even a 55..... That is a 57 hood he has on there although it doesn't match the rest of the body so it's probably not original.

Re: '55 cameo on C/L
Let me rephrase that:
'66 cadillac motor, some kind of Camaro brakes (maybe a subframe?) wrong hood, not running and NOT all there. $9,500 seems like alot in that condition. I guess he's been watching too much Barrett-Jackson. |

I agree, he's asking way too much.

Re: '55 cameo on C/L
I have to admit, I know very little about the '55 plus trucks. I wasn't aware they made cameo kits for these trucks. So when I seen it, I thought it might be a very rare truck. I wasn't sure on the price (thought it was high) but since it was a cameo, I wasn't sure if that's what they went for. I'd really like to build a fleetside. Something like what OrrieG is building. Oh well, I guess I'll hang my head in shame and stand in the corner.

Re: '55 cameo on C/L
Don't let that stop you from posting. I've been checking all the larger craigslists from Seattle to LA for a new truck, but I forget about all the smaller CL's. I'm flying down to the Pomona SM later this month so hopefully my endless search of craigslist can stop.

Re: '55 cameo on C/L
Hey thanks for posting the ad.
It's fairly rare to see one of these up for sale in that kind of shape. Usually there not so run down, if it was complete and just needed a restoration I could see aking that kind of money. There was an old guy near me that had one and it only had 23,000 kilometers on it. He wanted $47,000Ca for it firm and he did end up selling it for that much! |

Hey Hotrodhomi, I've been somewhat looking for a '55-59. Have you checked out this site- http://www2.jaxed.com/cgi-bin/mash.c...&state=&ys=&ye It might help you and others find a truck or car. It combines both C/L and EBay may be others.
