so i went to sell my old car and this pice of crap followed me home

traded my old DD for this beastie....1960, 235 i6, column shift...little bit of rust but not too bad at all...runs and drives great...love it. i've wanted a 60-66 for a LONG time.

plan is to swap to a newer crossmember, get rid of the torsion bars and go lower, then bodywork and paint. really want to BBW swap her if can find a good donor...and put an 5spd trans behind the 235.

Good for you, nice starting place. I've always liked the 63 grille best of the 60-66 Chevys.

Re: so i went to sell my old car and this pice of crap followed me home

it is pretty solid...guy at my work said his pops has a wrecked "same truck as yours with a bigger back window" at his house he wants gone...gonna get pics for me this weekend but i guess it was all bagged and what not and he totaled the frame some how...so sounds like i might have a parts truck on the way.

whats in the back is my 2.25" up rigid harley frame for my ironhead project.

Love the 3 hour cruise, that's good humor. I'm game man, even if it is and evening or afternoon event it's worth a drive for me. I've driven that way for nothing more than to pick up parts from craigslist purchases, so I'm pretty much down for whatever. It's just a shame that it may be a while before I get to make the trip in my Chevy.

Re: so i went to sell my old car and this pice of crap followed me home

so i got a few questions...tries searching but didnt come up with what i was lookin for...

turns out that truck my co-workers pops has is a 64 or a 65 BBW pretty much complete no motor.

will the interior panel for the bbw swap from the 63-66 work in a 60-62 cab? (i know the main diff is the dash/doors/winshield etc...but the back half of the cab looks the same)

im gonna go check it out pretty soon so if anyone local is gonna need 63-66 parts let me know...im only really planning on stealin the bbw/front suspension and rear axle so anything i wont need will be available
