seriously need help to figure this out... girl and truck in trouble...
I have what looks to be an Eaton HO52 rearend in my 69 chevy longbed.
originally this truck was a camper special. the rearend pumpkin looks completely round, with 10 bolts on the rear inspection plate. looks like a ford 9" sorta. the axles are 17 spline with 8 bolts to attach to the the drum hub. just pulled off a wheel and found the drum to be cracked almost all the way around the circumference around the lugs. that being said... I cant seem to find any replacement drums or pads for this at ALL any help?? I need to get this truck off the jackstands, so I can get to work. Thanks in advance.

Re: seriously need help to figure this out... girl and truck in trouble...
I found 2 different brands on O'Reilly's site. Of course the cheaper ones don't ship for 5 days.
http://shop.oreillyauto.com/ProductL...e=2353&PTSet=A And here is what NAPA's site shows. No mention of delivery time though. http://www.napaonline.com/Search/Res...+50014+2014028 Classic Parts has them also, but the shipping time may not work for you. Plus they're a little spendy. http://www.classicparts.com/Drums/products/279/ This is one of the reasons why I won't run the HO52/72's if I have an option. The parts are becoming hard to find and expensive when you do find them. You might be able to retrofit thee whole brake assembly from a FF 14 bolt. The rear disc brake caliper brackets for the 14 bolts are supposed to fit the HO52/72's as well. So I'm assuming that the drum assemblies would work also. I haven't done this though, just mentioning it as a possible option.
