Question 87 4wd brake light switch vacuum leak?

I was wondering, located what sounds like a vacuum leak "sound" coming from the brake light switch under the dash, the line is new and was wondering if it was supposed to make the hissing noise. Any insight would be helpful. Thanks to all in advance!

Mine never made a noise, could be the switch itself is bad and sucking air. Unhook the hose, plug it, and see if the sound goes away. If it does, replace the switch.
