stock steering?
Just rebuilt my stock gear box on my '49 1/2 ton.
Lock to lock, about how many turns should I have? Thanks, Chris

Re: stock steering?
Most columns are around 3.5 lock to lock.

Awesome, that's what I've got. Wanted to make sure I got it put
together right. Thanks

Re: stock steering?
Kind of one in the same on that one Orrie. I think the 1-1/2 ton boxes I have out here have a few more turns though.

Re: stock steering?
That would make sense, bigger truck has more and bigger stuff to turn up front so the ration is probably lower, same theory as a rearend, to make it easier on the driver but more steering wheel movement to to get same tire movement.
