Post driveline, hmmm......

Well, I just now went to drop the 2-piece driveshaft off the 81, and well, the U joint caps are loose in the rear axle yoke cups, even though the straps and bolts are super tight.......

Driveshaft is loose in the carrier bearing, but its not slop, its a gap, and the rubber in the bearing doesnt flex, its real solid, so when I yank on the shaft, it goes
"clank- clank".....

The friggin yoke strap bolt heads are about 8mm, a hair smaller than 5/16".... and 1/4" drive isnt gonna break them loose without breaking the drive, so hmmmmmm....

I dont feel like putting that much effort into this truck, so I quit right there....
I prolly cant sell the truck for more than 300 bucks, gonna end up as parts, if it wasnt for the driveshaft and tires, it would drive great, so hmm.....

I need opinions from someone else ....

Later on..

Lol, I just gave up period, I'll let the next owner mess with it.
I'll sell the truck for 400 bucks if anyone wants it...
I'm getting a different truck.

Its just the original 305, 130,000 miles,
its a long fleet 2wd light duty Custom Deluxe C 20,
4.10,
465 trans....
Ill prolly end up parting it out for the engine for the demo car, once im tired of driving it.

Im putting manual steering box on the truck right now, the stupid pump belt wont stay tight, Im tired of it squealing, I'd rather have manual steer.

Anyone want a good '72 C10 P/S gearbox, (that what is on it right now)
