Be Cool Radiators
I'm in need of a new radiator, and was wondering if the Be Cool ones are worth the money or should I just stick with a aluminum stock replacement?

Re: Be Cool Radiators
Overpriced IMO, but they sure do look good.

Re: Be Cool Radiators
They make very nice stuff.....but an aluminum stock replacement for a big block cools my 383 just fine, and was only $160.

Re: Be Cool Radiators
I have a Be Cool polished radiator in my project 87. Haven't had any problems with it yet but it really hasn't seen much road time. I do agree, they are overpriced. There is a few other brands that make a quality aluminum radiator for half the cost of a Be Cool.

Re: Be Cool Radiators
They may be pricey, but I am here to tell you, their claims are true. I was told by their reps that the radiator will drop the temp differences 20 degrees across the process, over the conventional radiator. I spent time with their group on the 1998 Hot Rod Power Tour and they convinced me of their product's quality. I also stand behind the fact that on a really hot muggy July day, I lost my electric fan relay and I ran the truck through the city and 25 miles down the highway WITHOUT overheating. The radiator will exchange some serious BTUs to the ambient. I like the one on my 84 GMC and I have another in my basement for the next project build, which is my 68 C-10.
It confuses me, why a person would spend all kinds of cash on a great engine, but skrimp on the one thing that will keep it form burning up. You see them all of the time sitting at a car show, or a cruise night with the water running out of that shiney high dollar car. I hate that thought.
