where does everything bolt on ?

Need a little help. I pulled a 454 with a/c from an '81 c-30 to use in my hot rod. I have now replaced the 454 in the c-30 with a 350. The 350 had no a/c. I am trying to figure how to bolt on the compressor. On the 454, the compressor was on pass side. The 350 has alternator on pass side. Does anyone have pics of stock 350 and 454 with a/c so I can compare ? I am thinking I can mount compressor on driver side, if the p/s pump isn't in the way, and just get longer a/c hoses ? thanks guys....

Re: where does everything bolt on ?

The brackets do not interchange between a sb and bb. You will need to get the ac brackets for a sbc. including crank and water pump pullies. The easiest to find brackets will all have the alternator on the passenger side. The last vehicles to use a driver side alternator factory were the 72 chevy p/u and those brackets arent that easy to come by especially with a/c stuff. your best bet will probably be to go to the junkyard and find a truck with a/c and rob the brackets so you have everything you need.
