Help on '59 back glass install
Anyone know if the rubber lock strip goes on the inside of the cab or the outside? Also I saw a old service manual that said to install the gasket on the cab first and then work the glass into it, does this sound right?

I am guessing you would use a rope just like the windshield, put the bottom in first then use the rope to roll the lip around the glass.

Re: Help on '59 back glass install
You can use a soapy rope to pull the glass in, but with out the lock strip in the rubber there is alot of room to install the glass in it.

Re: Help on '59 back glass install
i had a guy do it since i tore thru 2 of the rubber gaskets. definatly worth the money and lower frustration. i think the rubber is pretty unforgiving when you pull the rope. mine kept cutting in to the rubber... you might try steel rubber if yours fails
good luck GT
