WTB - 78-80 Door Panels
Hey Guys,
Looking for door panels, like below (with trim/insert) for a Silverado: I know someone is sitting on a nice set, maybe stashed away in their garage, maybe holding on for a future project! Willing to pay for a great set as well as shipping. If you know of a set at a parts yard, post some pics. I'll pay for your time and the panels. I can't find anything here locally.

Are you looking for a specific color or will you be dyeing them ?

Hey Frank,
I'll be dying them, so color doesn't matter. Wade

I don't think it will be tough to find a set. See some on Ebay occasionally but, almost never @ the pick and pull these days. I found a good set on Craiglist a couple months back for $ 25 (non power)

Finding a set isn't hard, but finding a set with good trim will be the difficult part.

Re: WTB - 78-80 Door Panels
They are tough to find, at least here. We have one parts yard with a few 73-87 trucks. I may go back out, it's been since last summer that I checked, maybe they have a few more.
Been scouring Ebay for a while. Been scouring Craigslist as well, in google I use: site:craigslist.org chevy truck "door panel" It's tough, because there were only three years (?) with these. I've seen a few for manual windows, but not finding anything for power locks/windows. Just got off the phone with Henry at Cheyenne Parts, he's going to check the warehouse. I have the Rod Door panels now, and I don't dislike them, but there's just something about factory look that I really like. Appreciate the help. If anyone has any leads, let me know. Wade

Re: WTB - 78-80 Door Panels
I tried to accumulate some of these when I had my '77. I don't know if it is the heat here or what, but most of the mounting studs on the plastic rings vaporize when they touch a socket, no matter how gentle you are. Seems like I have a good set of caps for the pull straps, either here or at my buddy's place in Austin, I don't remember which. I will have to look.
how bad are the ones in the picture, Wade? They look like they should dye Ok to me. Are they chalked up on the tops?

Re: WTB - 78-80 Door Panels
I don't have the ones in the pic, JB. I thought I had saved them, but have been unable to find them, so they probably were accidentally tossed.
Good news! I was able to score an NOS set of door panels, complete! If you run across door panels like these, snag them up! They are few and far between out there.
