Painless wiring harrness
has any one used a painless wiring harness in there trucks how much do the cost and how much of a pain in the ass to install

Havent used 1 for trucks, but put 1 in a 81 camaro, make sure you get it for a gm column, makes it easier for the wiring to the column. Now price is probably in the $400-500 range, just a guess. They are easy if you have the patience of a saint and alot of free time, it took me about a week to do mine, just after work during the week and a weekend. But I took my time, had walk away and cool down a few times, but is was worth it. And each wire is labeled every 5-6" and pretty easy instructions. Over all not to bad just time consuming and a little know how, definitely for a more exerienced mechanically inclined person. Its not painless but it is worth the effort if you have a rats nest for a wiring harness. I took a pair of side cutters cut all wires at fuse block and ripped it all out. Hope this helps you and not discourage you, but a truck will be a lil easier than a car. just my .02
