W@@W, factory truck bucket seat set

If these are in fact real truck buckets...they are rare and would be very cool to have. I am not going to bid, but depending on location and price they would be awesome to have....anyone?

I would request pictures of the seat tracks. I don't see any in the pictures. The pickup that I had with buckets had a tall bracket on the console sides, don't see it there....

they look just like those sorry ass blazer bucket seats. I wouldnt buy em unless they were real cheap.

The only possible difference might be the track assembly. I dont see the big handle for leaning the seat forward. but the pics are not very good..

Well, those are definately not 75 C10 Seats. I have the originals in my Gentleman Jim. For one, they should be low backs, the first highbacks were in 78. Also, the pickup seats don't have finished backs, they are open to the springs, like the bench seats that don't flip forward. The console is also not from a 75. The 75's didn't have shoulder belts so the console has a place to put your seatbelt ends instead of cupholders like the one pictured. Yet another Ebay seller who doesn't know what they have, or are intentionally misleading potential bidders. BS.

I'd rather get new ones with better quality for that price.

Non of the factory bucket seats tilt forward, they only slide forward (drivers side ONLY) The passenger side doesn't move at all. Neither of them recline. All the ones I have seen are completely covered as they are the exact seats that come out of a Blazer/Jimmy. Blazer/Jimmy seats have the passenger side tip forward with no adjustment (early models).

I never seen one that had an open back, high or low back. Joe, email me some pics of your seats, I would like to add them to the list of the weird by GM...

BTW, those look like a '78 set... like mine

I have seen bench seats that are not covered in the rear (early non folding bench seats) and my low back original 75 buckets are definately not covered in the rear. I will get some pics next time I go to my shop (should be tonight).

I think we're all thinking the same thing, but just to be clear, the pickup buckets are NOT exactly the same as blazer buckets. The floor pans in a blazer don't have the seat mounting 'hump' that pickups and suburbans have. Also, the passenger pickup buckets never had the flip forward base like the blazers did.

I was thinking that for my 86 project I should find some buckets from a suburban, will they bolt right in?

my non-tilt 73 bench was not covered in the rear...kind of weird but makes sense i guess if the seat doesn't tilt.

Yeah, we're straight....
Pickup buckets seats don't tilt, and only the drivers slides. Just like in a blazer.
The actual seat is the same (seat track up on driver and seat frame mount on pass)
The floor mounts for a blazer are different than a pickup mount. Blazer pass tips, pickup is stationary (solid mount to the floor)

All the pickup buckets I have ever seen low or high back have had covered backs just like the on pictured..
Burb will work with a little mod.

Here are my seats for the Gentleman Jim, they are original for a 75 GMC.

Here is one of the uncovered backs:

Here is a link to an Ebay auction for some backs for a 73 Blazer. I would guess these would screw right on to my seats, but mine didn't originally have them.

Here is my console, note the slots for seatbelts vice the cupholders.

The seat belts on the 73-76 trucks are two piece like the 72 and earlier trucks. Only half the seatbelt is in the retractor, the other half is more like the center belt on the 80's bench seat where you manually adjust it. That end of the seatbelt sets in those slots when it isn't being worn.

ok ok ok... hey guys, i have a torn an tattered bench seat from an 82 K10. the cover is shredded, the springs are mostly broken from a big fat guy riding around in it all the time, and the main frame of it is cracked. make me an offer if interested.
