71-72 center link
im having trouble finding a 71 or 72 c10 center link. are there any stores/web sites that sell them out there. I'd be lucky to find one in a junk yard around here. I have a 67 c10 that im using the 71-72 spindles for the disc brakes. was told that the steering linkage needed to be 71-72 as well?

I think you can use your existing centerlink if you use 71/72 outer tie rod ends and 67-70 inner tie rod ends. The only thing that would prevent you from doing that is if the tie rod adjusting sleeves are different between the two, and that I do not know. One of the experts will chime in to verify that I am sure.

Bingo, that link answers your questions, and my curiosity. It looks like you need a special adjusting sleeve if you mix two different year tie rod ends.

just another fyi....difference b/w 67-70 center links and 71/72 center link (holes are bigger...thus the reason for different inner and outer tie rods needed)
