Nice truck. Too bad you cant post bigger pictures on Craigslist. I think you are fighting the economy, no problems otherwise.

Re: My craigslist ad.
I would offer $10k. That's just me though. And of coarse, if he's asking $13.5, he will probably take at least $11. All sellers ask for more because they know a buyer is gonna come with a lower price.

Re: My craigslist ad.
Put the pictures up on-line and post a link to the full size photos. Beats getting requests from tons of people asking for all sorts of angles, etc.

Re: My craigslist ad.
The main problem I see with tryin' to get that much for a truck... is that for $10,000 grand you can still get some really nice muscle car era cars. Chevelles, Mustangs, Novas, LeMans, etc... that are in really good shape, and most already have rocket motors in them.
That is a really nice rig you got. I hope you get what you want for it. Your ad looks good to me... Gary

Re: My craigslist ad.
For me a picture of the front end means alot when it comes to this style of trucks. Many people would recongnize the grill and year compared to the side view, which they all look alike.

Re: My craigslist ad.
The problem, like mentioned above with the economy is the average person doesnt have 10-15K for a purchase like that. Even around here with alot of craigslists adds having trucks in the 5-8K range, they are just not selling. You may do better putting it on ebay if you are set on getting that much.

Re: My craigslist ad.
You're right, it is "his ad." But he also asked for opinions and I gave mine. No disrespect. Just saying what I could afford. No harm in that. His add could ask for a million dollars and I will still be able to only offer $10k. If buyer and seller can come to an agreement fine, if not, move on. Simple as that.

Re: My craigslist ad.
I would post it in www.racingjunk.com it's free and will get lot of exposure. These trucks will fetch the money if built right with quality parts. There are huge differences between a 5k-10k truck and a 20k-30k truck. I have seen many vehicles which the owner asks stupid money for a bucket of crap and have also seen some great build for reasonable prices.
The ad looks good and has very good details about the build.

Re: My craigslist ad.
If the economy was not so bad the price would be ok.
The economy is in the dumps so to speak around here and we are having a hard time selling trucks. Most people spending that kind of money on a vehicle are looking for one that gets great mileage. My son just sold a '67 big window swb fleet without an engine for $1500. All the suspension was stock but in great shape. The body was flat back, pretty straight and rust free. The only way he made a little money on the deal is because he can do all the work. Danny

Re: My craigslist ad.
I have been watching the 67-72 truck market for about 8 months and this seems to be a good price. I paid 14500 for mine last saturday and I think it was a hell of a deal. IMO. good luck with the sell, seems like ebay is the way to sell it.

Re: My craigslist ad.
Drive it to some car shows with a for sale sign in the window. It will get attention from car guys that know what it takes to build it. It worked for Loc Doc at the All Truck Nats in K.C.

Re: My craigslist ad.
Nice truck ,and well done .I would hold out as long as possible til the right person sees it.The economy does suck right now but someone looking for a quality built truck for 1/2 price is going to come along. Take it to as many cruise-ins as you can w/a sale sign on it. That is a lot of truck for the money.

A lot of people think they can buy a $2500 truck and make it just like yours for another $5,000.

Re: My craigslist ad.
I appreceiate all the input. I didn't figure I was that out of line with the price. I am sure it has to do with the economy and you are right about finding the right person to buy it as well. I will just continue to drive and enjoy it. Thanks again for the input.

I agree 100% rodman91 ... That is a very nice looking truck and I would agree with the above in reference to the economy. If you get the right buyer you could make a deal. After all is said and done: After wrapping up the Circuit Rider's restoration I might have been better off buying a truck that was alreadsy completed.
