How do you fix this area?
How are you fixing along the seam? The patch panels dont have anything for the seam....

A nwe floor piece, and kick panel piece should do. Clean the rust off the rest of the floor and paint it with a rust inhibiter. Your best bet for the circled area is a donor cab that doesn't have as much rust on it. Cut it w/enough metal under the seam (an inch or so) to weld the floor piece to. You should be good to go. Hope that helps.

If you're going to use a repop floor patch, you will have to measure, cut and bend it to recreate the original floor panel. IIRC, there is only about 3/4" that gets bent over and welded to the firewall. If the firewall is rusty, you will have to make your own patch panels or, as Blue Thunder suggested, cut a patch from a donor cab- pickups, Blazers, they're all the same in the floor/firewall area.

^^^^ gotta agree with both of the above
Lay the floor patch in there, then mark where it hits the fire wall, cut some more off and mark again. Keep going until you have it 3/4" above the seam, then bend it to about 90 degrees...check out my thread I think I covered it there

you got a lot of work to do i didint have any money to buy a new one at work y cut a piece of a 98 econoline form the side panel and almost was identical to put on the rocker panel

I did exactly what the guys above mentioned on both sides of my truck...if you want it to look like a factory fix that is.
