Not quite a burb roof, but very cool fixed roof.

Pretty cool looking but for me it defeats the purpose I wanted a first gen Blazer - the full vert top!

Looking at those taillights.... you sure it's not just a shortened Suburban? Looks that way to me.

Re: any pics of a Burban top welded onto a Blazer?
These are shortened Suburbans not Blazers. Very, very cool. There is (was?) a guy in LA that would chop yours and get it ready for paint for something like 10K. Not a bad deal, it's a lot of work. You have to section out the third door, about a foot between the tail lights and wheel arch, then chop the frame. Almost did it with a panel I had but decided to sell it and get a Jimmy, love the drop top and the commitment was a bit too intense for me at this time.

Good call on the shortened Suburban's! Now I'm all for it. I just couldn't see taking away one of my favorite features of the early K5's.

Check out what Frizzle Fry did with his burb. He made a 4 door tahoe.

It is a board member who owns it. From what I understand, the project has been put on a back burner while he enjoys life with his family.

I know Robert (Just Metal) personally. Great guy. I have seen his work very very talented. In fact he has made a 4 Door Tahoe out of a Burb for a member of this forum.

That 4-door Tahoe while very labor-intensive is awesome! Can someone link to it? I haven't seen his progress in a while.

Re: any pics of a Burban top welded onto a Blazer?
That short bed panel is awesome. That was what I had planned for mine till I sold it. I read about the buildup but I can't remember where. Anyway, they got that aggressive roof line buy cutting the front section of the panel roof out and replacing it with a pickup roof. They used enough of the pickup roof to use pickup doors. Looks way better IMHO.
