Re: Headligts dont work!!!!

You might wanna try replacing the High/Low switch at the bottom of the steering column... Im assuming you have the High/low dimmer on the turn signal.. that you pull back on. If you have High Beams, then apparently you have current going through the light switch on the dash.

Also sometimes that high low beam switch gets out of adjustment. Its just like your ignition switch that is controlled by a rod, There should be two little 9/32 bolts on there i believe loosen them both up and try sliding it up a little, while you slide it your lights should turn on, then tighten it down and try operating it at the switch and see what the problem is if it just plain wont give you your low beams at all run down to the parts store and grab you a new one. Good luck man your truck always seems to fight you in some way ahaha i understand the pain ahaha.

hahaha mooney every friday night you know it. Feels great to be back home was in sacramento for 9 months at school.. The good old meet ups at A&W and the street races in tulare ahahah. The cops are starting to hit hard on cruising again but you will catch me and my buddys rolling in all chevys every weekend. They adjust just a little because the mounting slot it elongated.

Re: Headligts dont work!!!!

Its all good man have fun not that hard to get to slide your seat all the way back, remover the two covers off the dash for the dash and plastic for gauges and you should see it down there, There will be a rod that goes to it it should be on the left hand side mounted to the ignition switch.

Re: Headligts dont work!!!!

Ok Bro.. check this out... I assume you have a high/low switch like mine.. in the pix.... Also in the pix.. under the column.. all you have to do is take off the plastic half underneath.. the metal plate as well beneath that... and remove the air duct (if you have it there) that feeds air to the lower vent. couple screws.. screwdriver. and maybe a nut-driver depending on what you have down there... after that you expose the column with all the goodies plugged into it.. and then what you do.. is at the same time.. click your high/low turn signal level back over and over.. stick your hand up there, under the column to see and feel for the little rod Caddy was talking about... it's at the bottom.. you'll see the rod clicking a little switch down there.. and presto! the high/low switch..... if you have more ?'s hit me up.. I'll see if i can get you some pix.. when i have better daylight... good luck! Rock On!

Re: Headligts dont work!!!!

Just realized I had my old column... you can see what it looks like... in relation to the neutral-safety switch... about mid-way on the column...
