Finally got my 598 fired up !!!!
After 9 straight days at almost 12 hours a days, I finally got2 hear the sweat sound of a big cid engine at 7400 rpms. I still need to finish the seat install and belts. My chromoly drive line is enroute from strange and I need to make my brake lines up. On the down side I am leaving for work om monday and wont get back to the truck for 1 months. I plan on hitting the track on 4th of july weekend. I will keep you posted on the times and performance of this.

Re: Finally got my 598 fired up !!!!
Ok so it should put out like 800 hp and i think its gonna weigh 3500. The shortbed white 91 is my bodymans and has a 500 hp 383 and tubbed with fab 9 housing, leaf springs and caltrac bars. His sbc has dart pro1 200 cnc with jesel set up and a .620 solid roller and 10.5 compression. He is also running manual valve bodied th400 and 3500 stall with 3.89 gears. He has yet to take it 2 the track since this setup has only 250 miles on it.

Re: Finally got my 598 fired up !!!!
I made 1 run this weekend and then came the rain. I did a weak burn out and spun for over a 100ft,shifting at 5000rpm in each gear then let off before the traps. I ran 12.2 at 102.7 I had 20psi in the drag radials and the suspesion was to tight. Also im foot breaking the truck off the line and could only hold 2200 rpm. I was really hoping 2 have time to dial this thing in some and figure out how to drive it. LOL well i guess i will try more in august when i get back from work. Oh yeah and I had it detailed today, looks sweet huh
