3rd truck in 2 months

2 months ago I bought a '63 long fleet. 2 weeks ago I bought a '64 long fleet with a 292. Looks like I may be buying a '61 short step side. What the devil am i doing? Think I like the '61 better than the other 2.

Re: 3rd truck in 2 months

You are have the dreaded '60-'66 Chevy/GMC truck disease...it is all good, especially since you are in Kansas. I see you are near Goodland. I was just through there a few weeks ago on my way back from Phoenix.

Re: 3rd truck in 2 months

Just so you know... there is help out there to get over your disease, and with many long years of therapy (and wife's b****ing) you too will be free of this addiction. On another note, you won't find any of that kind of help here...!!! So keep buying...and give us lots of pictures. I too suffer from your same disease, and as they say the first step to recovering is admitting you have a problem. Well I have a problem... and NO I don't want to recover from it...LOL

Hah! I suffer from the same disease!

I bought 1 pickup- then a suburban- then another pickup for a parts donor(but it was in such good shape that I started driving it) then another "parts" suburban.

These trucks are just too much fun!

There's so many ways you can go with them that I want one of each!

Re: 3rd truck in 2 months

Just do what I do, dump all of your extra cash into one so you don't have any left to buy another truck (although I did just find a decent 60 GMC short step about 10 minutes from my house).

Re: 3rd truck in 2 months

I keep staring at a 4-5-6 short-step that is parked in someone's yard just up the road from my shop. Looks like it could be a driver too. I'm feeling guilty because I too just got my '65 long fleet and have a long way to go on the build. Funny thing was my wife caught me staring the other day, all she said was "oh boy". All I know is I didn't hear a "no" in there... Point is: we are all sick like this, that's what makes this life so much fun.
