81 square body

Ok people I need a little motivation from you. I got a 81 lwb from my father inlaw. The plan is to redo it a little for my daughter who will be driving in about a year. the truck is blueish silver looking on the outside and and blue on the inside. The body is straight as an arrow. The interior is trashed from the years of being the work truck. Can you post some pics of your trucks to help get me moving in a direction? Thanks

Re: 81 square body

I've had mine since I was 16, almost 12 years now. It's currently in pieces. Probably not the kind of motivation you wanted, but I'll finish mine eventually.

Re: 81 square body

What it looked like right before I parked it 4 years ago.

It was in even better shape before that, much better shape actually....

Re: 81 square body

Here's a couple pics of my 81 LWB. A pretty simple build really and makes a nice driver. 2.5/4 drop with spindles and shackles, 15x8" rallies with 255/60 and 275/60 tires. Paint is the stock medium blue with blue interior. 2nd shot is at a show in Ft. Dodge IA in Oct. Drove it 2762 miles averaging 16 mpg at 75.
