anyone done this to wipermotor?

I was going to try building a box over the wipermotor like in the pic, anyone done this or similar. Was wondering if there was a reason the stock one is plastic, so as not to short out anything?

Re: anyone done this to wipermotor?

The stock one is probably plastic because it is (a) cheap and (b) the fact that it can be molded offers infinite design possibilities (as far as attachments and features).

I don't think the motivation was electrical/shorting protection.

Keith nailed it. That's a sik looking engine bay. It took a lot of time and effort to hide all the wires and clean the ugly factory firewall. Is that someone's truck on this forum? If so I'd like to see more pics.

Re: anyone done this to wipermotor?

The stock GM wiper motors are ugly.....I am going to pick up one of Detroit Speed and Engineering ones when I am at the GoodGuys show in Columbus. It's pricey but it's a nice unit and will look a lot better on the truck.

The bottom of the pick says CAPKAOS so I would start with him he is a member.
