I need big block combos and 1/4mile times!

Im in the planning stage of my 427BB build up. Id like to see what everyone is running and their combos so I can get an idea of how badly Ill beat you in a race
Ok Im just kidding, but Id like to see about what Id run.

-CBR600F4i, CBR600RR, CBR1000RR, and standup skis

so what is the question? do you want our engine combos, or BB engine combos for you or what hp you need to get a certain 1/4 time?

Low- I want anyone who runs a big block in their 73-87 to post how its built and what 1/4mile times they've run with it.

Im going to play with some different cams though and see if I can squeak out some more power.

chris and jeff are the only ones running bb's off the top of my head, and neither one of their trucks are finished. there might be a couple outhers running them.

Tom, no matter how much HP you make, I will always be faster than you!!

no really, I cannot wait to get the truck together...I am curious to find out myself! I am HOPING for high 12's, anything slower will be a dissapointment IMO.

You realize that I am changing the combo when I get the Hilborn done and get new heads right?

Nothing fancy, I am running shaved 98cc closed chamber heads 2.19" SS undercut valves, flat top cast pistons (10.8:1 comp. with heads), stock bottom end (balanced rotating assm) Cam is a Crane solid: .567/.590 305/314 adv. w/ matching components

It ran high 12's with little traction.. I don't remember the exact number, but it was something like 12.8 or something....
