87 smoking?
I have an 87 tbi that smokes when i accelerate. I just put in a new cam and then it started smoking and bogging and i tried to put in temp sensor, tps, and a new computer to stop that, and now it is not bogging anymore and but it is still smoking, but not as bad. Does any one have any ideas on what i can try???

Re: 87 smoking?
Make sure that the vacuum line is connected and not leaking to you MAP sensor on the passenger side of the TBI. If it is leaking, you will experience lots of smoke on start-up and acceleration. Is it a new cam with the old pistons and rings? If so, you might have created a new weak point and your now getting blow-by on your rings.
