Static lowering questions? First time, Help

I want to "level" this truck but not sure what parts are required to do it right.
Right now, I'm thinking of just dropping the rear a few inches then later do 2.5 drop spindles and level the rear. So, do I need to buy a flip kit? is that going to make it lower in the rear? is there some sort of shackles that will take it down a few inches in the rear? I have some 18" wheels but not sure what tires to use yet? Not super low profile, I'm thinking 255 55 18 up front and 255 60 18 in the back. Any suggestions or pictures of your square body with 18" rims? thanks,

Here is the truck today:

Dropped shackles or hangers will lower the rear roughly 2" each which is the typical rake GM trucks have.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

Heres a link man. The summit stuff is actually ground force but save a good amount of money on it. Good deal i have the 2 inch shackles in my truck, you can just order them or order the kit with the front drop hanger which will require you taking out the factory rivets off the frame for the original hanger and put the drop one in which will also lower you down 2 inches. With the shackle and hanger thats 4 inches or drop. Good luck

Thanks for the link! it looks like that's pretty cheap (right up my alley). Did you drill the rivots out on yours? do you have a build thread? I guess I'm confused? Do you have to do this or can you just install the shackle and hanger? thanks

The shackle is bolt in, but the front hangers require you to remove the rivets on the orig hangers to install. If you are looking @ a 2 1/2" spindle up front, (IMO), I would do shackels & hangers at the rear. besdt of fun, crazyAL

i do not have the hangers on my truck just shackles. But to remove the rivets i would grind them down flush then center punch them and drill a hole in the wide enough to get a tappered punch in there and hammer them out seems that would work to me. if you do the 4inch in the rear you will need a 2.5 inch drop spindle up front still will have a little rake but will look nice
