Who has welded up their body seams?
I was looking at photos on the web today and noticed that someone had welded the seam on the side of the hood. I liked the look but would like to see more photos before I break out the welding rig. I'm thinking about welding up these seam, If you have done this would you post some shots of your truck?
Thanks |

Re: Who has welded up their body seams?
Here’s a recent thread of another forum member showing the hood seams welded up beginning with post #6.
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=410658 And here’s a couple of pics of my front fenders. After a lot of careful prep, I filled them with JB Weld. Here’s a pic of the passenger fender when I first eliminated the seam about 10-11 years ago: And here’s a more recent shot after a repaint last year: I filled mine because they were new reproduction fenders and the seam was badly malformed. I would have done the hood as well for cosmetics, but it just never occurred to me. |
