67 air conditioning?

Are there any after market underdash units out there that will fit a 67 chevy pick-up? I had someone tell me that an early mustang unit will work. Anyone know for sure?

I have used these guys. They even have an underdash unit specifically for our trucks.

Re: 67 air conditioning?

My plan, for an old school look, is to use a Vintage Air Mark IV under dash unit. It is a repo of the original Mark IV that was very common back in the day. Nice thing is it has nothing to do with the factory heater as they are completely independent systems.

We were given two ears and one mouth for a reason... listen twice as much and speak half as often...

Re: 67 air conditioning?

I have Vintage Air and the A/C works great but it's not good in the winter as the A/C needs to be on to prevent fogging of the windows. And when you do that it doesn't blow really hot air... just warm.

If someone with the same system doesn't have this problem let me know how I can fix it (in another thread).

They've always looked kewl, and I've seen them used on little birds, falcons, and lots of early mustangs, but never on a bowtie .... but there isn't any reason why one wouldn't work. Some of them carry a FoMoCo early metal logo badging between the center vents, but that's easy to fix.
