battery

ok..have a stupid question... hmm thats nothing new is it?
at anyrate.... my battery is boiling....what the heck does that mean? bad batt? my alt bearings are also going out..

I dont know what that means either, but I would think bad battery. I say get an Optima too, I have the red top though. Got a great deal on it.

Yeah lots of places have them but dayum they are expensive...like 189 for yellow top, I think the red top is like 139. Yellow is deep cycling.
Most co-ops carry them and speedtek and a few others.

I got mine new for $70 w/ gold terminals. A friend I work with bought a pallet and sold me the last one. Good deal huh?

battery is bad, cells fluid is getting mixed. very bad. can go boom eventually. better replace it.......carefully!

i have gotten the battery checked recently... said it was good.... i think i will replace it and my alt...and try to track down my electrical draw..

Is it boiling when the engine is running??Then check your alternator/regulator,too much output.
Is it boiling with engine off(and cold)??Bad battery

it sounds like the bearings in the alt are going out...i had the alt checked too.. guess i will get it checked again..

it could very well be your voltage regulator, i think its inside the alt. though. if you dont know how to take it apart and replace the regulator then ya just buy a new alternator, probably cheaper in the long run anyways. battery is probably fried too. sorry man.

oh and my cheapo 40 dollar battery, i think its an interstate or one of their offbrands has worked awesome for me. im really impressed. if it were me, i wouldnt spend that much on a battery
