Cool New guy from Oregon

I got a 1967 GMC that I'm the process of restoring from the frame up. I was thinkin of dropping it but I dont cut up my frame cuz its an original shortbed, so i an 85 chevy that i no problem cutting. However I was wondering if its possible to swap crossmembers between the two.
