JC Whitney Cruise control and fuel gauge?
Has anybody used JC Whitney stuff? They have an add on cruise kit for $99.99, I would really like to have cruise in the '87 4x4 but dont want to blow 100 dollars on junk. They also have a universal fuel gauge and sending unit. has anybody tried this either. I have an old '77 beater that needs the fuel gauge fixed. The price was around $30 for everything, thats about all I would want to put in this truck.
Thanks, Mike |

Mike J,
If you want the best use a Rostra unit. I have one in my Chevy and its AWESOME!! Easy to follow install. Works better than factory and will pull your truck into the next dimenstion on acceleration!! Cost $250.00 for my unit. Worth every dime. Check out my install http://www.geocities.com/abetterchemist/cruise.html I have the $89.00 dollar version mentioned above on my Dakota. Works great for flat highway driving. Stinks on hills, but I think only because of the V-6 engine. I need more vacuum to pull the throttle on hills. I have not tried to fix the accelaration on hills but these aftermarket kits work pretty good. ------------------ Gerardo 1983 Custom Truck TX Plates: "BAD BOW" http://www.geocities.com/abetterchemist/ |
