Re: wiper motor question
I'm not sure about the wiper motor, but I like this booster and cylinder. It is pretty expensive though but looks really good.

Re: wiper motor question
Hi Dennis,
The wiring is different on the 73-77 wiper motors so they won't be a direct plug-in fit on a 78 or newer truck. Also, the gearbox cover on those motors incorporates the washer pump ... you'd have to make a home-made cover to eliminate the pump on one of those motors. GM changed over to the electric reservoir mounted washer pump on these trucks sometime around 85 or 86. I'm pretty sure the wiring on the rest of the motor stayed the same from 78-up. So an 86/87 or so wiper motor should fit your truck and eliminate the motor-mounted washer pump. |

Re: wiper motor question
Take a look at the 80's & early 90's S-10 wiper motor. Bolts up to the same mount points as the older ones but has an external pump and is very small. I don't have a pic handy but if you look up a 1990 S-10 truck on an auto parts store site it will show you one.
I have one I am making work on my 68 Camaro for extra valve cover clearance.

Re: wiper motor question
How does the delay work on these if it were put in a new vehicle?

I am working on a way to retrofit the delay wiper control switch into an older vehicle with a dash mounted rotary wiper control knob but it is pretty low on the priority list. I am going to figure out the control wiring so it can be controlled by a standard two speed wiper switch without the delay feature and use one on my 67 K10 project.
