trick/hidden toolboxes/storage compartments
just wondering what everyone else is doing to keep their "junk" hidden.
the new truck seat i have has a storage compartment under the center seat, so that helps me a bit, no room behind the seat for a storage shelf or anything since i have more than enough sereo equipment hidden there. inside the bed, i have one of those delta over-the-bedside flip-top toolboxes running across the front half of the bed, but the button to open is in the middle, and even after lowering is a pita to open. i always cram alot of stuff in my truck, so much so, that if my gf wants to ride anywhere i always have to clear the passenger side floorboard. really interested in some of you guys' ideas on this.

Re: trick/hidden toolboxes/storage compartments
I shove all of my stuff under the seat, the rest gets considered useless and thrown out the window. Haha, more weight means less speed!

Re: trick/hidden toolboxes/storage compartments
Don't know if you saw my post yesterday, but behind the seat storage and cab corner speaker boxes were used. Custom build allows you to not waste any space. Smaller speaker in cab corner allows storage (if you install a small door.)

Re: trick/hidden toolboxes/storage compartments
I don't have any pics, but I have an aluminum truck toolbox from Home Depot that bolts to the floor in the bed. It sits just below the level of the bed sides, so you can't see it unless you can see inside the bed. It holds a LOT of stuff, and isn't very noticeable. It has two latches on each side that are connected internally so that it can be opened from either side. I like it.

Re: trick/hidden toolboxes/storage compartments
Not too trick, But I put dividers in my toolbox. Its not attatched either, just sits in there. Just cut 2 pieces of mdf alike and make slots to match on each piece as wide as whatever you're using for the dividers, then the dividers just slide in, and they hold it all together.

Re: trick/hidden toolboxes/storage compartments
yeah i was thnkng today that if i made a button on either side and used one of the spare electric trunk pop latches in the middle id be ok with what i have. it isnt really big enough, but itll do. t sits so low in the bed itll be hardly noticable when i bedline the truck. im planning on bedlining the toolbox too.
i wouldnt go thru the trouble to put somethin in my bedside, but damn that would be neat. im searching around all my buddies places to find two small metal storage compartments that will fit on each side, in front of the wheel wells. then i could mount them to open to the inside and just put my current box on top. that ay its at least a little more accessible. getting to things in the middle would be alot easier if it were up another 8-10". and i do wish i had the space behind my seat to use, one of those racks would be nice, and theres no space under my new seat either.
