if you take your brake booster off, the piece that has the 6 studs on it, it looks kinda goofy, i dont really know how to explain it. but is it a piece of the cab or can it be removed? thanks

I believe that piece is spot welded. It could be removed but you would want to reinforce the cab in that area to add another master cylinder. the single wall steel of the firewall will flex a ton without support.

Re: how to i get this off?
The studs are on the brake pedal support/assembly above the column. They aren't attached to the support piece on the firewall. You can remove it by removing the column and the booster.
I can get pics of the firewall without the support/assembly attached to it. Or ar you just talking about the re-enforcement plate on the firewall?

Re: how to i get this off?
well i found out the hardway, like usual
for anyone wanting to remove this, take your time and find all the spotwelds before ripping it along with half your firewall out |
