Re: elec. fan?
I'm looking into running electric myself I know some guys have mentioned that the dual fans on a ford Taurus will work great.

Re: elec. fan?
Unless you are having cooling problems now, I see no reason to switch. Unless it is just to look "cool."

Re: elec. fan?
I'd go with duals over a single any day if I had the option.

Re: elec. fan?
My input is to fix the cooling issues that are causing it to "run warmer than normal". Collapsing hoses, thermostat, airflow across the radiator, fluid flow through the radiator, radiator pressure cap? Is the system full of junk and need flushed? Is the tune out of whack? If it is running warmer than normal, then there is a problem somewhere.

Re: elec. fan?
An electric fan helps the engine by removing the power robbing mechanical fan. The number is around 5 HP gain on the enigne that is used up on turning the fan. That HP will now be applied to better use under the truck. I have changed my 1991 Daily Driver and my 84 show truck to electric fans and the gain was about 1 MPG and that adds up after awhile. I like my electric fans, due to the fact that in the winter my engines heat up quicker and in the summer, the fans remove heat a faster rate when sitting still on a street. The fan does not care what RPM the engine is running.
