Re: Front Dash for a 89 Suburban

it is very easy, there are about 4 screws under the front edge, a couple on the sides and then it slides back toward you, go slow there is duct work on the passenger side you will have to undo, if you pull your glove box down you can reach in there and take it loose before you pull the dash, and this is of coarse after you pull the plastic piece from the front of your gauges, which is just a few screws...

Re: Front Dash for a 89 Suburban

Yup, 8 screws on the instrument cluster bezel and radio knobs, 4 screws on the bottom edge of the pad, one screw inside the passenger jamb area and off the crash pad comes.

If you're just talking about the instrument cluster/gauges, just about as simple. Get the bezel off and you'll see all the screws holding the gauges themselves in place, or if you're after taking the cluster out as a unit, you'll see the screws holding it all in place. You'll have to reach in behind the speedometer and unhook the cable, otherwise there is just one electrical plug on the backside of the cluster assembly.
