Question for 1980 owners

So, my old wretched wreck is a 1980 short bed fleetside. Its interior is an unholy mess. All I'd like to do is get it into good condition, stock. It doesn't have a stock steering wheel, it has a rusty old Grant wheel on it. I'd like to find a stock steering wheel correct for the 1980 truck. But to be honest, I don't know what style wheel was on a 1980. I also don't know where I might be able to get one in good shape. I have some pretty good boneyards around here. I think if I knew what style I was after, I might actually get lucky and find a decent one. Can anyone post a pic of a steering wheel for a 1980???

Chevy. I should be more GMC-conscious.

Re: Question for 1980 owners

The Hobnail cloth in the silverados was also used in the Trans Am in 79-80 and Corvette in 80 (an d maybe 81).

I have one from an 86 if you need it....needs parts for the horn but wheel and horn cover is there. Has a piece of bolt in it that broke off my wheel remover when changed it out but could be drilled. You can have it if you pay shipping from 21160. I have a paypal account. Not sure if it's ok to post as I am not selling it. I put one from a early 90's on mine.

Re: Question for 1980 owners

Same wheel was used from 78 to 87 so there are lots out there;base and 1 level up used a rectangular center;hi line trucks used square center.
Only difference between GMC and Chevy is horn center logo

Re: Question for 1980 owners

Thanks for the pics! Now I know what my wheel should look like. I have a rebuilt tilt column already. I just need a steering wheel in decent shape to top it off, preferably stock. Thanks again!
