Noob timing question.
Hey guys! I'm new at the Chevy small block 350 and I'm having trouble setting the timing on this badboy. There are no timing tabs around my harmonic balancer. I bought two chrome timing tabs for both harmonic balancer sizes because I didn't know which one I had. It looks like they want to mount on the drivers side of the motor but there's no where to put them and no way to see your timing light. The only clear shot I have is on the passenger side. It's a 1979 GMC K2500 with a 350 / 400 Trans.
Here's a picture of the driver's side: Passenger side: |

Re: Noob timing question.
Timing tab should be on the driver side, partially obstructed by the PS pump at about 2 o'clock position. The OE tabs are spot welded to the timing cover and should not be replaced.
