Re: Eagle 225 wheels

They are a really good looking wheel. It appears they don't have the brilliance of a true billet wheel, but for the money they look great.

Re: Eagle 225 wheels

I mounted a set up last week and like Ken said they do look real nice for the money. The rim hoop appears to be the one that Boyd and American Racing uses on their two piece wheels. The centers being cast like a Torque Thrust II never quite shines up like the hoop will.

Re: Eagle 225 wheels

There ya go. I knew they looked great in some pics but the centers looked almost like they were clear coated in other pics. The difference being the centers are cast and not billet.

I do know that LoLife has verified that all of the caps will clear if you run the small 1" rotors. If you have the larger 1.25 rotors you will need to verify.

They were 22" Billet Specialties Vintec Dish, 8 1/2" in front and 22x10" out back. Hey on these Eagle 225's i think they have a decent amount more room in the center bore area than the Boss 338 and Coys so i dont think they will have the dreaded center cap clearance soap opera that we all have come to know and love!

He sold the '77 a while ago to another board member (CHROMAHALIC - or close to that); now the truck resides in Canada.

Re: Eagle 225 wheels

I really wish they would make these in a 22 inch wheel. A staggered setup of 20/22s woudl look awesome on a C-10.

Re: Eagle 225 wheels

They make a lot of 22's so who knows. I wouldn't hold my breath though.

They just added a new Pro Tour" style wheel to the line. I kinda like these.

I really like those. Now they just need to get some information up on their website.

Re: Eagle 225 wheels

My local dealer said 4-6 weeks away. Which means they could be here next week, next month or never.

Two months and still no update on their website. Have you followed up on these at all with your dealer?

Re: Eagle 225 wheels

I ordered a set of these in 20's from discount tire on 12/3/2010. I personally think the 295/40R20 that most people run is a little tall. I want to drop my truck as low as possible so I went with some lower profile tires. 255/35R20 fronts and 295/30R20 rears. They finally got mounted and balanced today, so I'm picking them up first thing in the morning. I'm doing the drop this weds. or thurs. When the truck is dropped and aligned, I will detail the truck and take pics friday and post them up for you guys. I can't wait.
