ideas and tips
hell i have a 1982 chevy swb pick up it currently had a 400 sb in it but i spun the rod bearings and the crank unfourtenatly has already been turned and i dont wanan turn the crank again im gonna pull the 400 and put the block up im gonna drop a 454 in it and i want a hotrod street strip cam i have a stock converter and a th350 tranny with a mild shift kit im also wanting to put 3:730 posi gears in it im runnin 4:11 right now i may just might get a set of posi 4:11 gears im not sure yet but im wondering some cam tips i can get for a 454 that ant been bored and im running a stock converter as well thanks

If you are planning to stay with a stock convertor, I wouldn't go with anything too big on the cam. Something in the 215/220 Dur@.050 and a 485/500 lift would work great in your truck. Slightly lopey but able to idle under 900 RPM. You could also check with your local Chevy dealership for the availability of a stock LS-5 cam. Great Cam for overall preformance and drivability.

LS-5 cam ok i seen something liek that in jegs and in summit thanks for your reply i like that lopey sound in fact i love it
