Tranny mount for the S10 chassis swap
Has anyone used the hanger bearing cross member as a tranny cross member?? It's kind of light but it is a full square tube. just wondering if it's heavy enough. Your thoughts please.

Re: Tranny mount for the S10 chassis swap
I plan to just modify and use the stock S10 mount for my 700R4.

Re: Tranny mount for the S10 chassis swap
I also modified my stock one for my 4L60. I cut it to fit the angle of the frame on the right side, on the left I cut the frame rail and hammered it down to match the original frame mounting spot then drilled two more holes. Here's a picture if you loook closely you can tell how much I had to move it backwards. I too thought about using the bearing cross member, yours is made different than mine. Mine was flatter .

Re: Tranny mount for the S10 chassis swap
Thanks for all the input. I will leave the bearing support alone and go with one of the choices you guys outlined. Thanks

I was a member there first then found this forum and liked this one better because it's more active. I'll check you out over there though!
